Mitzvah Moment:  Knitting-for-a-Cause
On the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month from 1:00 – 3:00 in the Temple library you will find an exceptional group of women knitting things for special causes. Of course, they are doing lots of laughing and chatting too!!! The 15+ members include those who are first learning to knit to those who are proficient and amazingly fast at the craft.

So far, the group has graciously knitted and provided the following:
✓ Purple baby hats for National Center for Shaken Baby Syndrome
✓ Scarves for the homeless as distributed by Rich Skydell from the SHIP Mobile Kitchen
✓ Squares provided to Michael’s craft store which they use to construct blankets for those in need
✓ Hats for preemie babies at Jacoby Hospital
✓ Blanket for auction that benefited the Preschool Place at Temple Sholom
✓ American Doll clothing also for the Preschool Place auction

If you want to be w ith a group that is happy, works well together, talks a lot and does wonderful knitting projects for charitable causes, PLEASE join Knitting-for-a-Cause and
